Thermal Insulation
Insulation helps prevent heat from entering the ice bank container.
Circulating Pump
Keeps drinking water constantly moving, allowing it to be maintained at a lower temperature while preventing it from freezing. It uses the ice bank to cool itself, eliminating the additional energy draw of another cooling fan.
Copper Coolant Coils
Compressed zero-ozone depleting coolant is routed through these copper coils to chill the water in the ice bank when necessary, maintaining it's frozen state.
Water Chilling Coils
These food-grade stainless steel 304 coils (to prevent flavor staining) wrap around the inside of the ice bank from top to bottom. Water is pumped through them to keep it perpetually chilled and ready on a moments notice.
Ice Bank
The system fills this reservoir with water and maintains it in a frozen state, storing the thermal energy (technically lack of thermal energy as it is cold) in a more efficient and usable state to save energy.
